I had another story idea, also about cats. But it's (in my opinion) not like warriors at all. It's VERY hard to explain, so this will be a looonnng post.
There are two nations, Moonstars and Sunspots. The ranks are as follows:
Three cats are in power, each of them having a special ability. There is the leader, who has the ability to foretell the future.
The second in command (deputy) who is able to change his/her pelt color.
The other one is able to heal incredibly.
There are also three hunters, three fighters, and three seekers. The three hunters hunt for their nation, they are also responsible for making sure no cats from the other nation are trespassing. If so, they have immediate permission to kill. The two nations are constantly feuding, killing any cats within reach.
The fighters are responsible for two things as well. They teach littles (apprentices) whatever their specialty is (specialty explained in seekers.) They also go searching for new cats, chosen cats that are to join the nations.
The seekers can read stars. Whenever a new cat joins the nation, they are responsible for reading the stars to tell what each cat is destined to do. The three in power and seekers are the most important, as only one comes along about every three generations.
There are also mothers, which take care of their kits.
Name example for Sunspots: Light
Name example for Moonstars: Comet
There are about thirty cats in each nation. Moonstars live in darkness, coldness shielding their hearts. Sunspots have extremely short tempers, and they're hotheaded.
You may be wondering how cats are found, here's how:
The forest is surrounded by houses that contain cats. A lot of times, cats will venture into the forest. The seekers tell through the stars whether or not these cats are 'chosen.'
The thing is, Sunspots and Moonstars are very cruel. If the cat isn't chosen, they're killed. Simple as that.
So yeah, cats die A LOT. A LOT A LOT A LOT.
There are three books I've come up with so far, and there's four books in every series. I've only written a chapter of the first, the other two are just ideas. If you guys like this and say it isn't much like warriors, I'll use it.
Basically, the first series is a love story. Our main character, a tom from Sunspots, falls for a she-cat from Moonstars. The whole first series is about how they hate each other, but it slowly builds and it turns into a mad passion, yada yada.
Basically Earthy and Snow in a very elaborated matter.
Too much like warriors?
