Alright. As most of you know, my greatest life dream is to become a famous/successful author. When/if I ever become one of those, I'll return to here (if it's still alive) and say my full name, so everyone can by my books ^^
BUT, I have one story idea in particular I am unsure about. I love the warriors series, like everyone else here, but I am having the DARNDEST time trying to come up with a cat books idea! I finally came up with one, but I don't know whether or not it's too identical to warriors.
So that's where you come in, here's the whole idea:
There are four Lands, NOT Clans. There is Winterland, Summerland, Springland, and Autumnland. They are each divided, like the Clans...yeah.
Kits are called Littles. Example: Little River and Little Aurora are related.
Apprentices are called Trainees, but their names are different. Example: Small Rain is an apprentice.
Queens are called Nurses, but they're names are also different. Example: Mother Lightning has four kits.
Elders are called Seniors, but their names are also different. Example: Old Manic is an elder.
Warriors are called warriors, but they have NOTHING in front of their name. Example: Grace is a warrior.
Deputies are called deputies, but they also have nothing in front of their name. Example: Dream is a deputy.
Leaders are the same as Deputies and Warriors. Example: Ink is a leader.
Medicine cats are called Healers, they also have nothing in front of their name. BUT they must have very, very short names. As in 4 letters MAX.
So, sounds the same so far? The thing is, they don't fight because you've trespassed on their territory. There is no StarClan, only Starryskies. Healers and Leaders don't speak with Starryskies or anything, there are no gatherings.
Say seven winterland cats have walked onto a certain part of Summerland territory, and they sit down. If after 24 hours none of Summerland has noticed them, that area of land is now WINTERland's. BUT if Summerland comes and finds them, they attack. If Summerland wins, the territory is their's. If winterland wins, the territory is their's. Get it? Good. It's the same for all four, so all the cats CONSTANTLY need to patrol.
Kittypets are not called kittypets, obviously. BUT they are allowed in the lands. (Summer and winter and autumn and spring lands are all basically clans) ONLY if something specifies it. If a 'kittypet' strays into their territory, the leader decides whether or not they stay. But the cat must do something to prove themselves, they must have a special skill. Whether they can climb fifty foot tall trees with no branches, swim a raging river, heal incredibly, SOMETHING to prove themselves. So each cat has a different, special skill.
Does it sound too much like warriors?
Yes or no, state your opinion.
