1. What Fudgey said.
2. Public schools are a kind of elite version of private schools. However, those in private schools look down upon them. (Don't ask!) State schools are funded by the government. And are totally different from public schools. It's wierd. You are correct, it's messed up.
3. It's practically mandatory about being British. ^^ I went on a French exchange and they offered me tea every second of the day. (And I'm barely exaggerating!) Plus, we also refer to 'dinner' as 'tea'. We also have elevenses. You have those?
4. What Fudgey said.
We also have stiff upper lips in Britain! And we talk constantly about our weather and everything stops if we have over a centimeter of snow. We go around afterwards reminiscing about the really snowy winter back in the good old days of '06.
Have you seen the film 'Brighton Rock'? It's really old but Fudgey and I love it!
We used to have the tailor of Glouster on video!

Lol yum, Wisconsin chesse! Would you mind sending me some, Stormy? (jk xP) I live in CA. I dunno if you've heard- but fires around here are REALLY bad right now, the worst in California's history. They're bginning to get them under control though.

Carri: Yes! I heard! My Uncle lives in CA, up in the hills outside San Diego. There were fires a few years ago, and he lost about half of his property. It sucks, and I was there last March. It was sooo pretty! lol, here's something ironic. I live in Wisconsin, land of cows, cheese, and other dairy products(and football, but that doesn't really relate to this at all). Annnnd, I'm lactose intolerent, so I can't HAVE any of our wonderful cheese or milk. Sucks, no? Heh, shall I send you some maple syrup, too, Carri? my grandparents live in CA and they always have us send them syrup and cheese every Christmas. ^^ Also, Phraxy, no. We don't really have elevensies. Well, we do, but it's only my family who call them elevensies, and that's only because my family is a weird British family. Most people call it brunch. I hate that word. Brunch. Sounds awful, doesn't it? Elevensies is much nicer sounding. XD Every time it snows more than a foot here people forget completely how to drive and there're a bunch of accidents. Of course, Mum always grumblies about it, and talks about the winters when she was going to nursing school in Green Bay, where the snow would get so deep you couldn't get out of the driveway. I like the English for one thing: they're so dang polite. At least, the ones I know are. Okay. I thought up another question. #5 I was reading a pretty modern book based in London, and it said something about a summer term... so I was wondering what your school year is? Ours is, you start in September, have a break of about two weeks(usually longer, if you're in collage, but for grammar school and high school, it's usually only about two weeks) for Christmas, then have another break for about a week in March, then go till about early June, and then you have the summer off. Is that how your school year is, or is it different? -goes off to think up more questions-

YOU HAVEN'T???
Oh man.... I love those things. They're soooo good! They tast kinda like... hmm.. I dunno... they have their own sort of taste. Really sugary and syrupy, and they're basically syrup-flavored hardened sugar. That's it. They're small, and molded into different shapes, and they melt in the mouth.. mmmm. I wish I had some right now...
Look for them in places like Trader Joe's around Christmas time, they'll prolly have it.

Yeah. You might not be able to get them this time of year, though. You might have to wait for December. I've searched and searched and searched and searched every groery store in Madison pretty much(and there's a LOT) and couldn't find them anywhere except in Christmas. Which sucks. Badly.
It's like not being able to buy soymilk eggnog any time of year except December, which also sucks, since it's in January, the most depressing month of the year(at least, around here it is) when you need some good ol' eggnog the most.

Smiley: look on the previous page, Fudgey answers that question. ^^
Hannah.... not Creamfoot Hannah?
There's a Hannah in my dance classes, and she always makes me think of Creamfoot Hannah from Dewclan. ^^
British people rock. I'm like, half British. Completely European, is Stormy. The English rock! they have this really cool china, and all these other really cool stuff about them. But my Mum told me about the fine British china teacups that she used to have... -dreamy sigh-

I haff some questions for you! #1.) How far away are you from the nearest beach? #2.) When you go out to a resturant to eat; what is the main choice? #3.) What's the weather like? { How hot, how cold. } #4.) What time is it?
