|ooc| You keep forgetting one of your kitties, Candy. xD First you forgot Candy, now it's Zyphfang you have forgotten. =O
|bic| Now that was more like it! She was actually trying; or at least that what he thought. Even if she had or not, she did manage to make him fumble and almost land flat on his face. Wrinkling his nose briefly, he took a pawstep forward to confront Oakpaw through the cloud of dust, not expecting the apprentice to leap on to his back. His ears pricking, he chuckled, dropping down into a roll to squash Oakpaw momentarily and knock her off his back. Straightening himself, the warrior sat down, washing his chest with a few long strokes of his tongue indifferently. "That was much better, Oakpaw. It could use some more work... But for now, you did perfectly great, using your speed and then minuteness compared to my size to your advantage."
Crimsonaura started, tearing her gaze away from Zyphfang in cold sweat. Blinking at Snakecharm as if she hadn't understood, he opened her maw to reply shakingly but it was too late. Sadly watching the warrior pelt off to find Daypaw, she was forced to put her attention back on track; unfortunately, on her brother. Shifting from paw to paw, she was sure she was visibly shaking and, judging by Snakecharm's panicked look, he must've thought she was having a seizure or going crazy, talking to no one in peculiar. Wait. If he hadn't heard Zyphfang's voice and was confused as to why she was talking to something... The deputy gasped under her breath. Of course. No one could see the FireClan cat or hear him -- other than herself.
"Aww. Starstar wants to go there, though. That very kind shrub over there said lotsa interesting things are happening in that place," the loner meowed in a daze, relunctantly letting Candy lead him away from the border. He twitched his whiskers, his ears fluttering in crazy movements atop his head. His sister could be so strict sometimes. Dislodging himself from her grasp, he pounced over to a bush, swishing his short tail madly. Astounding. Touching the bush with a paw, he blinked, laughing loudly. "Candy! This bush here says I look rather dashing! Starstar also rather agrees to this statement."

Willowkit emerged from the nursery. Had it been three days yet? She couldn't quite remember. She thought it was. Bounding over to Mintstar's den, she mewed for her leader. "Mintstar? Will I become an apprentice today?" Her emerald eyes were wide, anxiously awaiting an answer from the she-cat.

ooc; Mintstar's out training, when she returns you will become one. And yes, Grassclaw is still around. Not for long, though. I'm determined to kill off unactive characters.
ic; Mintstar's feet carried her swiftly into the woods, her mouth matching her pace as she looked back at her apprentice. "Yes." she said, one of her unsatisfactory one-word answers. She added on quickly at Cheetahpaw looked about to interject. "On your fighting. Fishing is good for fun and games, but when it comes to the best clan, the strongest won't be the ones with damp paws. Besides--" she added thoughtfully. "A real warrior would be able to apply their skills to anything they might do."
A flat rock loomed overhead, very small but smooth and sturdy. The two had barely enough room to move, or, more acurately, only enough to stand one tail length apart and not move at all. "Today we're going to learn how to fight in close quarters. In a battle, you can't roll around all over the place like a kit. You'll quickly attract attention and be outnumbered by your enemies. We'll also practice how to end a battle quickly. You'll be outnumbered as often as your not. So Cheetahpaw; show me how you would attack." she said, tensing on one side of the rock.
***
Grassclaw lay stretched out, allowing her white belly to absorb the rays of the sun. Recently she had become quite lazy and unconcerned, preferring to play rather to play than work. It was just so tempting...

ooc: Hahahaha! The Cari is here- with another character as well!!! O- by the way- anybody care to be her sibling? Please??? bic: Laurelpaw sighed. The apprentice contest had not exactly gone as planned. "How could Oakpaw have been so- so- so... immature?" she asked herself, her morale boosting a little as she called another cat "immature". However her conscience got the better of her. "Alright, alright, so we all make mistakes." she thought briskly, not wanting to dwell on it. Suddenly her forest green eyes picked up the sleek shape of Cheetahpaw whizzing by- probably on his to to train with his mentor. Mixed feelings arose in her mind... Cheetahpaw, the conceited, rude apprentice- whom she couldn't help but adore. But so did every other she-cat on the face of the earth! Well, practically. "but- it's different for them..." she thought to herself, a little dreamily. "for me he's just-" She stopped abruptly. She was an apprentice, and he wasn't the least bit interested in her. AT least, not seriously. She knew right well he loved to flirt, but did he actually feel anything for her? She sighed and shook her head, giving her white chest a quick licks to smooth the ruffled fur, and then headed towards the fresh kill pile. Surely somecat would be there that might provide some entertainment, and distraction from Cheetahpaw? ooc: P.S.- As you can see, Laurelpaw is hopelessly in lurve ;D

|ooc| Cheetahpaw and his flirtatious manner does that to helpless she-cats who are immune to his smexy catness. >
|bic| Cheetahpaw instinctively glowered at Mintstar heartily, unsatisfied with the answer he had been given. Yes? Just yes? Was it so hard to just string together a few more words that would be much more satisfactory than a one-word answer such as what she had provided him? It wasn't filling, didn't stave off his curiousity as to just exactly what they were going to train about. Yes didn't tell him much. And dang right he was about to interject; she got that much out of his look. So closing his opening mouth, he briskly listened, nodding once in content. Finally! An answer he could appreciate to the fullest extent. "You took the words right out of my mouth," he muttered under his breath, stepping up on to the small flat rock, which was nicely smoothed. Prodding it in spite, he raised his eye-level to Mintstar's. "You mean we have to train on this lump of a rock? Close quarters--bah!" the apprentice added under his breath, settling into a crouched position smoothly. He'd show her how he would attack; she would see. Flicking his tail back in forth in concentration, as did his seeing and unseeing eye, Cheetahpaw dashed forward in a small jump that took him in front of his mentor. Laying his ears flat, he struck with his forepaw, the claws sheathed. There was no need for them to be unsheathed; this was only training. Grimly smiling at the connection he made, he rushed back, forgetting the limited space before falling head over heels backwards off the too-smooth rock. "Aw, mouse-dung!" he spat whilst on his back in a sprawl.

ooc// You know what would be interesting, if Rain made Laurelpaw a sibling that had absolutely no interest in Cheetahpaw, which made Cheetahpaw want to chase after her. And Laurelpaw would get mad and such.
Well...I thought it'd be a good idea. xD

|ooc| Oooo. Starstar/Meow thinks that idea sounds coolio. Cheetahpaw would definitely want to chase after some cat who is hard to get; only because he wouldn't be sure why the she-cat had no interest in him, though. And that's what makes him go after them. :3

Tigerheart padded over to her den, the medicine cats den, to spot Jaypaw at the mouth of her den. Her deep gold eyes trailed over to the feline "Oh,your hurt arn't you? Can I asked how this happend?" the medicine cat in a soft yet sturdy voice. The sun flittered through the leaves now and only just smally appeared on her calico fur. Still aware of her surroundings, she waited for the young cats reply going through the list of herbs she might need. Her tail twitching at the slight breeze that pushed against her fur.
(So sorry short post I really really have to go before my parents kill me!)

ooc-- xxxD Paintedpaw be not impressed.
The black, grey and white tom apprentice watched Cheetahpaw strut around the camp with distaste, eyes narrowed and tail flicking back and forth in a rhythmic manner. Little squirt thought he owned the place. Paintedpaw gave a snort of laughter and teased a small plant from the earth, watching the long brown roots being slowly drawn from the earth and feeling a slightly satisfaction as the plant drooped as its life was snatched away. He turned his gaze to Jaypaw, watching through hooded eyes as the apprentice was fussed over by Tigerheart. That would be just what he wanted, Paintedpaw thought sarcastically, feeling a flash of irritation that Jaypaw could no longer train with him and satisfaction that it had not been him with the possibly broken paw. But he couldn’t let himself relax. He must be better, he must try harder. Drawing a paw lazily over one side of his face he ignored the fresh-kill pile even though his stomach grumbled and protested. He had not trained. He did not deserve food. It was this discipline that kept him running, fighting and trying. Trying and trying harder. He then watched Willowkit nagging Mintstar, trying to be polite but just sounding whiney in his opinion. Was that all that mattered to her? becoming an apprentice. It didn’t matter what rank you were in; only the things you could do and the ambition you collected in your heart. He had learnt this much from Minstar and Boulderclan when they had cast he and Jaypaw to the bottom of the pile as though they were never really there; the lesson by which he was leading his life.
Coldbreath’s sleek and hardened muscles gleamed in the dim light of the Autumnal sun, his eyes glinting with light from within. The ex-Boulderclan was in good shape after the generous summer and he had found a place where he could safely live where no other clan cats liked to go. True it was near the kittypet place but it was fun to bully and tease some of the weaker ones. But he couldn’t resist it; he had to cast his eyes upon Boulderclan once more for as a loner you never knew which day would be your last. Ears alert and cocked slightly backwards he crept forward, smelling familiar scents but many new ones too. His paws trod the paths he knew so well and his heart ached to be in a position where he was not creeping; not a furtive. But that time would come, eventually they’d come to reason and he had a plan; a plan that waiting, watching and learning more about the clan { in particular two members } would greatly tribute. He opened his mouth to inhale the heavenly broth of scents once again and at once all the fur stood up on the back of his neck. There were two scents that were definitely not Boulderclan here. They were musky and dirty but smelt oddly familiar as though he and them were in some way the same… Frozen, Coldbreath watched as two loners padded by, one conversationally talking to passing bushes, the other looking exasperated and padding at his side. At once two instincts kicked in. The first was to ignore these cats and forget about them, the way he treated most kittypets and other loners he met wandering the clans for now he had become one; he suddenly realized just how many they were. Most of them were in various stages of madness but Coldbreath had proudly kept his grey head above that level, remained sane and cruel; just like he had always been. However the second instinct was much stronger and felt like it was in his very bloodstream; telling him to leap out at them and claw their flanks, punishing them for being his Boulderclan’s, his clan’s territory. But he stayed motionless, waiting to see what they would do and noticing suddenly he was downwind of them.

"Tripped," muttered Jaypaw to his paws, embarassed to have to admit it. His green eyes narrowed in the pain that it caused him but he raised his paw up and waved it in her face. To his shame he let out a little gasp. "See it?" he grunted, before stowing it beneath him once more.

Pebblestone curled her legs underneath her body and glanced around Boulderclan camp.A slight breeze ruffled her fur, everything was so suttle, almost too peaceful, when she saw Jaypaw limping ot the medicine den. Giving an amused purr she mumbled under her breath "Stupid apprentices probably getting themselves into trouble." Scowling she stood up and leaped over the the fresh kill pile.Viewing her choices she picked a mouse and padded over infront of the warriors den to eat. After her meal she cleaned her paws, and sought out to see if Mintstar needed any help with anything or anything for a bored warrior to do.

Candy got a whiff of Coldbreath but didn't do anything."Come on Starstar somebody is lurking out there..."She flicked her tail to the forest "And I don't want the plants to cry if Starstar dies.Candy doesn't like that idea."She paused for a moment and thought I sound like an idiot.
Oakpaw just laughed and mewed "Look at me I'm the infamous Coldheart and my apprentice can beat me at anything!"She then looked at him again and mewed babishly"I hope you you don't sound offended."She laughed again and then sighed.Fun was over."Okay now what?"
Zyphfang snapped at her and hissed."Not long now.I'll be watching your every step. And when you make a false move."He paused and pointed at the scar on her paw. "That'll hurt more and more everytime and once it is unbearable pain!...."But never finished the sentence as he fadded away from view and a laughter. [/size]

Bluepaw padded out of the apprentice's den, following Laurelpaw. She called out to her sister, purring a greeting as she strided over to meet her at the pile of fresh kill. "Want to come hunting with me later?" Bluepaw asked before picking up a mouse. Whether or not Laurelpaw would join her, she'd go out and she needed her energy.

"Hmph. Control yourself, Oakpaw; I'm not offended at all. I'm glad you thought for once and used what you can do that I cannot to your advantage. Isn't that the whole point of a mentor? To teach everything he knows to that of his apprentice and hopes good things will come out of it?" Quirking an eyebrow at the apprentice and her cocky manner, Coldheart shook his head, scrutinizing the brown she-cat closely, blue eyes squinted as if against light. Soon, his apprentice had to be made a warrior; she deserved it--when she wasn't obnoxious and tried to make an agruement out of everything and prove she was right more so than any cat. "Now... I think this calls for a well-earned rest. Or, if you would much prefer it, we could assess your hunting skills, just to see where you are at." Looking as if he was finished, a decision was made soon after, and he changed his mind. "Actually... Let's go with the latter. Rest can come after you've had your assessment."
Crimsonaura could only gape at Zyphfang, tremors rocking her body violently once more at the threat and snarl in his voice. He meant it, he meant every word he said; from keeping a close eye on her, and all the wrong movements and actions she could make, along with the pain that would come with it. Moaning quietly, she scarcely breathed as she watched her brother--now a vile, FireClan cat from the depths of hell itself--fade away until he was no more, like he hadn't been there and it was all just a horrible hallucination that walked and talked. Finally breathing normally, she numbly nodded. That had to be it. It was all just some freaky hallucination she had that seemingly talked right back and pretended to be her long-gone brother. But a glance at her paw told her otherwise, and she almost wailed out loud in dispare and crushed hope. Of course it hadn't been a figment of her imagination; it was all true, and doom was inevitable. Feeling a part of her die inside--or so it felt-- she trudged over to the warriors den, ears drooping and tail trailing behind her in dismay.
"There's someone out there?" Starstar questioned stupidly, removing the bush from his view to blink at Candy quizzically. To see it for himself, or rather smell it for himself, he took a good whiff of air, smelling Coldbreath's unmistakeable odor on the wind. Wrinkling his nose, he got up to his paws, padding toward the source before stopping a few paces ahead. The ears atop his head rotating like that of a satellite, he grinned in a beam, not paying much mind to his sister and her order. "Why, hello whatever-you-are! Starstar sends salutations of the greatest kind! Did you know that Starstar was once the leader of all the Clans? Astonishing, neh?" Chuckling madly to no one in particular, the crazy loner stood staring out to where he thought Coldbreath would be without any thought of how dangerous the exiled BoulderClan cat could really be.

Candy sighed and then padded up to him and hit him hard in the head and hissed "You dope!"She grabbed him by the scruff on his neck and then dragged him away back to camp. She sat him down and pushed his prey infront of him and mewed "Eat.I won't leave to get us water untill you eat that whole vole got that?"It was more of a command then anything else but whatever was out there she didn't want it to come here unless of course he or it was nice and wouldn't try to kill them.
Zyphfang laughed as he heard her thoughts. An illusion ehh he mewed to himself and then laughed. I'll give you an illusion. Slapping his paws together he himself put an illusion on the scar and made it look like it was gone for a period of time untill she stumbled on something and would drain her of her energy and help him get into her body but for now she was too strong and couldn't.Have fun with that illusion
Oakpaw nodded and then mewed "Do I HAVE to do the assessment Coldheart?I would rather go like patroling the border or..."She then stopped seeing that it would justl lead to an argumment and sighed. "Fine!"This was the first and last time she surrendered to Coldheart. She quickly sat down on the ground near the apprentice den and it all brought back memories."Wolfpaw"She hissed under her breath and then sighed.Hopefully he would be fine.
