ISAWTHEFIFTHMOVIE! ISAWTHEFIFTHMOVIE! ISAWTHEFIFTHMOOOOVIE!!!!!!!!(!!!!!)
And it ROCKED!!
Umbridge was absolutely PERFECT. And I mean PERFECT. Everything about her.. from just the way she walks and the way she was built, to her stupid little cough, to her fluffy pink cardigan to her prim little smile was PERFECT!
Luna was also perfect.
No, seriously. Luna was BEAUTIFUL. If I were a boy, like Smiley with Tonks, I would totally be in love with her.
Tonks was really pretty, too, and though she didn't play a very major role(much to my disappointment), she was really good!
Though she wasn't
quite what I imagined: The Tonks of my mind's eye had shorter, spikier hair.
And Bellatrix... Bellatrix was PERFECTO! A crazy woman fresh outta the cell.. she was awsome.
I loved how she was dressed in these victorian-gothic style clothes. It fit her perfectly!
But they said her last name wrong. They said La-strange, like Lah, as in laugh, and strange, as in the word strange(EX: That book was too strange for me) It's supposed to be said Bellatrix LaStrang, lah, as in laud, and strang, as in strong. I was sitting there through the whole movie and every time they said it wrong IZ silently yelled the correct pronounciation at the screen. ^^
I think everyone did a MUCH better job acting in this movie: I HATED Lupin and Sirius in the third movie, but I liked them both a lot better in the fifth!
I never liked the guy who played Snape... Don't get me wrong: He did a GREAT job, I don't think I could cast someone HALF so sinister, but he just didn't quite fit my imagining of Snape.
For example, he doesn't look the part, he just.. doesn't.
But he's a great actor, and a good fit, but.. I just don't like him.
I though he was a bit better in this movie, though.
I think the one person I DIDN'T like was Cho. I really liked her in the fourth, and one reason was that she had this real cool british-y accent, but she sounded so much more asian in this movie...
..And I hated how she was the one who told about the DA, instead of her friend Marietta, though I can see why they did it that way.
-WARNING: FALLING SPOILERS AHEAD!-
I was also kinda disappointed that they didn't do the tea shop scene in Hogdsmead with Cho and Harry. I really liked that part.
They also didn't do the interview with Rita Skeeter, another thing that I really liked about the fifth book.
And they didn't do enough of the Hogwarts High Inquisetor to suit me. Nor enough at No. 12 Grimauld Place. I was suprised they even put Kreatcher in.
They didn't have the shrieking portrait of Sirius's mother, either, which disappointed me greatly.
I loved how in the Hall of Prophecy, just as they're escaping, all the prophecies and the shelves come tumbling down on them.
But one problem with this movie is that they didn't explain how the Order of the Pheonix knew they were there and how they got there. If you hadn't read the books and knew that Snape was in the order and had warned them, it'd be pretty difficult to figure out.
I loved Grawp. He was so cool.
But again, they didn't have enough of Umbridge, nor enough of how much she hated half-breeds like Hagrid. In the book, they really emphasized that.
I also really liked Fred and George's exit, though I'm disappointed they didn't add in the flooded corridor.
So yes, all in all, I think the fifth is now my favorite movie. It was awsome!
One last thing: I went and got my hair cut reeeally short right before the movie and as I was walking out of the theater I caught a glimpse of myself in a car window and I looked just like Daniel Radcliff does in this movie(with his hair short) except.. my bangs are different than his.
So.. yeah. Weird.
