Hmm... well, here's some pictures of good ol' Wisconsin in the good o' seasons:
Winter in Wisconsin:
This was taken actually in Michigan, but it's close enough. Taken way back when we used to actually go up to Porcupine Mountains for a week to ski every winter.
It's pretty much the same everywhere in Wisconsin, except without the lake.
I don't like winter: It's cold, you have to wrap up, and I HATE going to church in Winter! I haven't got any nice dress pants, which means I have to wear a SKIRT every Sunday(and I refuse to wear tights or panyhose. Period.) so imagine sitting in a car that takes the whole trip to get the heat going with nothing covering your legs except a few layers of cotton and polyester. Yeah. Not fun.
Spring in Wisconsin:
This is pretty much what all of Wisconsin looks like from late March to early May(except those parts covered in snow, of course). Spring's one of my favorite times of year. It's when you can FINALLY get rid of the heavy winter jackets. It's sweatshirt weather, and I love sweatshirts. There's still a bit of crunchy snow left on the ground, but the days are growing longer, and it almost NEVER rains in spring, and even if it does, it's usually only a very short storm. It doesn't come and stay, like it does in late summer.
Summer in Wisconsin:
This is the view off of my deck last summer.
It's pretty much the same, except the rock garden(where that little dark spruce in the bottom left-hand corner is) is much more built up, and the weeds near hte road are a wall now.
I don't like summer that much; It's hot, there isn't much to do, the bugs are out, it's humid half of the time(when it isn't raining), and everything overgrows, so you can't go out into the woods without getting scratched, scraped, stickers in the hair, stung by stinning nettle/poison ivy, or tangled up in branches. Which means that solo games are pretty much limited outside. Besides riding a bike, that is.
Autumn in Wisconsin:
There are two pictuers for fall: the first is of the trees in October and November. They are beeeeautiful! Fall is the perfect time to go up to a state park like Devil's Lake or Governer Dodge and walk around. The trees are so pretty, it's nice and cool, and best of all, all the bugs are DEAD! BUAHAHAHA!
The bottom picture is a common sight for farmhouses along the highways. If they grow pumpkins or squash, farmers will lay out literally hundreds of pumpkins in their front yards and set up a stand. There's usually a little pavilion with a cashbox so if the farmer isn't home, you can come up, pick out your pumpkins or squash, and pay the money and leave, sometimes without seeing a single soul. It's quite similar to the sweet corn and watermelon stands one can often see set up on highways, or in front of Pick 'N Save's around Stoughton and McFarland.
The trees in the above picture are also trees you can see all fall and winter. Oh.. and dreary, cloudy skies like that are very common, and usually accompanied by strong winds in autumn.
I love autumn! I love everything about it, except for allergies and wasps. But everything else rocks about it!
